    Pros

Collaborative environment Ambitious co-workers Products positively impact healthcare industry I enjoy the culture!

    Cons

Have seen improvements in the communication from senior leadership, but could still be increased. Partial 401K match

    Advice to Management

Continue to promote from within. Continue and increase all associate sessions to share news within the company.

    Pros

Can pave your own way, and hard work pays off in new projects and positions. Can make the job what you want. If you prefer work/life balance you can find ways to work limited hours and work from home often. If you are ambitious you can put in more hours and it seems to generally pay off.

    Cons

Location of headquarters in midwest may not be desirable to some. Pay and benefits are slightly below industry averages.

    Advice to Management

Invest in keeping key senior leaders. There is not a deep bench of top performing middle and senior managers so it is key to keep the few that you have.

    Pros

Associates are given a large amount of responsibility right away. The company has a fun youthful workforce, and has grown very consistently through a very strong sales team. Change is constant, which is exciting. It constantly reshapes itself or acquires new companies to help meet its markets needs. The company has a flat organizational structure, and is really focused on listening to the needs of its clients.

    Cons

Decisions usually have to go through 1 or 2 key leaders. This creates a bottleneck and prevents the company from being as agile as it otherwise could be. Career development is limited because of the flat organization. A couple associates get opportunities for new challenges, but it is limited for most.

    Advice to Management

Work to give associates more accountability to go along with the responsibility. This will help make the company more agile, and will help with career development. Since the organization is flat, career development won't come with job titles, but it could come with more accountability.

    Pros

Great location in downtown Seattle. The developers are very knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. Good working relationship with most everyone. Get to use the latest technologies in MVC and .NET. Relaxed but fast paced environment. Every Friday is beer :30.

    Cons

Upper management is in Lincoln so there is a disconnect between Seattle and Lincoln.

    Pros

In most shops, business and technical requirements and project management are noticeably absent. Not at NRC. The software engineering section had one of the best teams I've ever worked with.

    Cons

Middle management doesn't provide as much information to the staff as they should. Some of the sales team make promises that cannot be delivered.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to input from the bottom of the org chart.

    Pros

Great place to work, awesome location if you're in Seattle (4th and Pike). Good office comradery, people are picked for their skills AND interpersonal skills. No type-A egotists or whiny babies here. Excellent work-life balance, flexible schedule, working over 40 hours per week is extremely rare. Actual open-door policy pretty much all the way up the chain. Employees are encouraged to spend time training and improving skills on the clock. I can't speak about the Nebraska office.

    Cons

Sloppy IT department, but getting better. Pay isn't amazing. The guy who plays the erhu on the street below the office is maddening.

    Pros

Work-life balance is great, flexible schedules, work hard/play hard atmosphere - if you get you're meeting your metrics most managers will not micro-manage, fun culture - dependent on location and team, great opportunities to work with c-level contacts, NRC is very passionate about improving patient experience.

    Cons

Minimal career advancement opportunities outside of management roles, rapidly changing strategies can be frustrating, management turnover, compensation for non-sales associates.

    Advice to Management

Place more value on retaining associates: invest in training, develop career paths outside of management roles, improve compensation of non-sales associates.

    Pros

There is a lot of opportunity for career growth within the company. The office culture is very fun, and there is a lot of focus on team building.

    Cons

The pay is not the greatest, and some teams go unrecognized more so than others.
