Cons

Advice to Senior Management
Get more modern and keep up with the times. Technology needs to be improved and utilized better. Ideas need to be more free flowing and exchange of information need to be improved.
Pros
As a non-management engineer, you are in a union. The union is pretty strong and the job is very stable (hard to get fired). Gotta love Boston!
Cons
Being in the union at times is a downside. There is a lot of animosity between union members and senior management. Hard to get certain time off and the hours/vacation is not very flexible. Horrible policies regarding internet usage, not a very "free" place to work. The stringent regulations lead to a stale work environment and a definite lack of creativity.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat the union members better. There is a lot of room for improvement. Treat people better and you will have more people rushing to work there.
