    Pros

Easy to work with, and accessible.

    Cons

Too much focused on the bottom line.

    Advice to Management

You could do better if you didn't just look at the numbers

    Pros

Great people doing the work. Very strong technically, fun to work with and highly motivated. Enjoyed the challenging environment.

    Cons

Executive management is not in touch with what each BU is doing at the lower level. It doesn't seem to view the company as a whole but in parts and pieces.

I worked at NTT America (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, a huge portfolio of services, oriented toward quality and customer service.

    Cons

Constantly integrating new companies and services (Virtela, Raging Wire, Arkadin). Never-ending challenge of working with sister companies NTT Data and Dimension Data. Sales leadership has been in turnover for past 3 years. Too much emphasis on achieving margins instead of winning business.

    Advice to Management

Bringing in leaders from the outside doesn't seem to be working well. Just look at the turnover! Nurture and empower your own people so they can see a career path ahead and strive to achieve it.

I worked at NTT America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The NTT Communications network is consistently ranked among the top five networks worldwide. We own and operate one of the world's largest Tier-1 global IP backbones, fully upgraded to run dual stack—both IPv4 and IPv6. On our backbone, all Internet routes are available to you—we don't need to reroute your data to another provider's network.

    Cons

With most VPs traveling most of the time globally it is difficult to get pricing approvals and returned to the customer on a timely manner.

I worked at NTT America full-time

    Pros

good pay and staff, loved the people I worked with, and as stable as they come. Good ability to stay with them a long time.

    Cons

very slow to move, japanese management is not always in tune with american culture and ever changing management leaves a bit to be desired from continuity.

    Advice to Management

need to be better focused on ability to leverage key employees and help them feel like they are key before they have to leave.
