Pros
Excellent CEO. Excellent products and engineering team.
Cons
OK IT Managers. Nothing that one would learn from them.
Pros
Leadership at NVIDIA brings the best out of each nvidian
Cons
Nothing I can see as a CONS at this point of time...
Advice to Senior Management
Not at this time , so would like to reserve the comments
Pros
- tech competency of fellow employees and scope for learning
- good career growth
Cons
- sometimes technically micro-managed(some managers)
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the good process that are being followed
Pros
Technology is cool, fun and interesting.
Technical prowess is recognized by management, no matter what level of contributor you are.
Very little politics due to above.
Ideas and hard work is rewarded
Range of technology is great so can work on different things every few years if looking for a change
Cons
Work is offered as an all you can eat buffet. Sometimes i eat too much of it.
The challenge to continually win means you are always on the hunt. my personality is drawn to this but others see it as conflict
Advice to Senior Management
my team has good chemistry and I enjoy being a part of it. Keep fostering empowerment and ability to drive each functional org a key part of NVIDIA's success. I really appreciate that.
Pros
Fun atmosphere, and everyone was very friendly. I was often invite to lunches/Dinner with middle management and they tried to make sure that I was satisfied with my job. The hours were very flexible.
Cons
The compensation package is nothing to brag about. And many times I spent my weekends on promotional events. Also, you don't really get paid for overtime.
Advice to Senior Management
Many times the work would come in waves. Some days i would have absolutely nothing to do, other days I would stay in the office until 9 or 10 pm.
Pros
Throughout, received very generous raises and RSUs, even during the tough economic times. Upper management is fiercely loyal and respectful towards folks that give 200% to the company. Bottomline if you take the initiative and grab responsibilities there is no shortage of opportunities. Most folks in my group love and respect their Managers/Directors/Vice President.
Cons
Some parts of the company still suffer from startup culture. Documentation is poor and newcomers struggle a lot. Not for the faint hearted, very aggressive and fast moving place with virtually no hand holding.
Advice to Senior Management
We need to expand .. buy more companies
Pros
Good pay, nice espp program w/2 year loopback for lowest price
Lots of variety for programming gigs
Many gigs can work from home
Lots of sites from which to work, NC, TX, CA, CO, etc
Sr mgmt tries to recognize market shifts ahead of time and adapt
Cons
Can seem chaotic when a direction shift takes place, but allows rapid adaptation to mkt changes.
Pros
big company
freedom to work.
flexible time
Cons
no motivation, politics, bureaucracy, no growth, bad management
Advice to Senior Management
Middle management has a lot to offer in terms of knowledge on the ground. Sales team has tons of people who should not be working there.
Pros
good work ethics ; good team work
Cons
no ; so far so good
Advice to Senior Management
so far so good
Pros
Great health benefits. Alot of opportunities with in NVIDIA to grow into. Opportunity to work on alot of cool stuff.
Cons
Very stressful. Long hours. Overworked. Under paid. Upper management doesn't realize how overworked the employees are or listen to the feedback of employees.
Advice to Senior Management
We are human beings not machines!
For once can you listen to your employees.
Your driving us to our graves.
