I have been working at NVIDIA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Surrounded by people who are exceptionally smart and excited about the work they are doing. There are always new things going on much to learn.

    Cons

Long hours depending on group. Engineering works very hard to ensure timelines are met which means that personal time is often secondary. Very flat organization, so moving "up the ladder" can be quite challenging.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fitness center is lacking for a company of this size. Even something as simple as treadmills, elliptical machines would be a plus.

I have been working at NVIDIA

    Pros

    - Salary is good.
    - Work hours are flexible although you are expected to be available pretty much 24/7
    - Smart colleagues who challenge you to be a better professional
    - Very Strong GPU Engineering

    Cons

    - Management DO NOT care at all about the employees. They are busy managing up and dodging Jensen's bullets
    - No respect for the employees
    - No career path
    - A "great" sales prevention company. Disappoint customers all the time. And hand opportunities to competition due to its arrogance and messed up business models.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the pace of the rest of silicon valley and great tech companies, think outside of the box not only on GPU technology, but also on business models and partnerships with other companies. For those VPs, don't forget how you got promoted and ended up where you are today, help the younger generations to get there as well.

I have been working at NVIDIA full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good place to start with. Lots of work and a lot of exposure to new things. As an NCG, you'll get a chance to learn a lot of things and apply your skills to develop new things. The company runs at an SOL (speed of light) schedule.

    Cons

Lots of things to juggle makes it difficult to focus. Perks are not that great. There is no annual bonus. Salary increments are not much. There is still a startup sort of attitude in the company.

I have been working at NVIDIA full-time

    Pros

Decent reward for Performance (read slogging)
Smart engineers to work with. Opportunity to learn a lot if you are willing to make some sacrifices in terms of timezone differences, extra working hours etc.

    Cons

Too many late night meetings (some of which are totally unnecessary)
In some teams, management is bit intrusive which can be annoying at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great culture. Be mindful when creating new management positions. Nvidia has thrived as a flat organization.
