I have been working at NVIDIA full-time

    Pros

There are interesting and challenging tasks, and most of the time is working with brilliant coworkers, it's a quite good place if you plan to polish you tech capabilities further.

    Cons

Sometimes the workload is a little high for an individual engineer, and for one to ramp up, most of the time you have to learn by yourself, so it's all depends on your ability to learn.

I worked at NVIDIA (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Technology leader, a lot of very bright people, fast paced. If you want to be part of what matters and what is next. Especially good place for chip design, software and high performance computing, which are main areas of focus

    Cons

Fast pace, so expect schedule pressure, if you cannot draw a firm line, your work-life balance might end up not in your favor. Also expect changes in directions / priorities which could be a good thing or not. If you are looking for nice and 'stable' environment, this is not the place

  3. Not a bad company

I worked at NVIDIA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good working environment. Rare overtime working. Free lunch. Nice cube to stay in. No separate office for managers. I enjoy the equal for everyone atmosphere.

    Cons

Poor marketing sense at VP level. Know nothing about what customers really need, arrogant, merciless. I hate them.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Good package, interesting work, nice office

    Cons

Total lack of the knowledge from the CEO and senior management when entering the aggressively competitive mobile business led to a very costly later exit and a wasted opportunity. This lead to a very demotivating work environment for the last two years when the CEO lost total interest in the business. Had no visit from any US management in that period.

    Advice to Management

If you commit to a new business sector in future ensure you build a management team that have a great proven track record in the market you are entering rather than just tell you what you want to here.
