    I worked at Nalley Automotive

    Pros

If you're great with people, pretty personable, and great at sales, you'll do well. Some people are helpful and will show you the ropes and they do provided paid training. You do get an hour lunch break and lunch is provided on Saturdays. You can enroll in benefits easily. Fun culture, low pressure, but you definitely have to be self-motivated.

    Cons

Hours are ridiculously long, no real vacation time and you work hardest on the holidays. You work every Saturday 9am-8pm and every other Sunday 12-5pm. As an employee, you're at the bottom of the totem pole. The main priority is to sell cars, no one cares about your feelings or what you have going on at home. The idea is to not be an advocate for the customer and that is pretty difficult when your also supposed to build a rapport with the customer to establish trust. Very low traffic in general so it can be difficult if you don't have leads.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider being more respectful to your employees and treating them you want to be treated. Improve schedules.

    Pros

big automotive group with corporate in GA

    Cons

cap your earning potential as a salesman. It varies dealership to dealership, but they have non traditional way of conducting business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pay your salesman more. Pay attention to dealership processes, some of the managers are very narrow minded with how diverse the automotive industry is now, especially with internet sales.

    I worked at Nalley Automotive

    Pros

A good reason to work for Nalley, initially, is to work for a known brand.

    Cons

Nalley's management staff is knowledgeable of the horrible work conditions of CS reps yet they do nothing to make them better. Moral is low in this department. All other departments look down on and feel sorry for this department but no one does anything to make it better. The manager of this department does not care about her employees. The manager is close friends with everyone in upper-management and it is useless to complain. Many complaints have been filed and no action taken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put yourself in your employees shoes. Pay your people better. Give your CS reps a better work environment, the job duties are bad enough but to sit in a small closet is not helpful. Have a less corporate mentality and be more family oriented with your workers. Treat your CS staff more like you treat your customers and workers in other departments. Management is too far removed from what is really happening in the trenches. Wake up.
