    Pros

I've been at Natera for about a year now and am glad I joined. I was hoping the role I signed up for would expand and that I'd get to see more aspects of the company and I probably got more exposure than I bargained for! If you sign up for something, you definitely get the chance to prove yourself. Love that I get to solve interesting problems with super smart people. Also love all the food - they changed to healthy options a couple months ago - but I do miss the salty stuff.

    Cons

Be careful about getting put on the spot - managers can be impatient and expect you to have answers. Worried they are expanding too quickly - my boss is interviewing people every day. There's almost zero desk space, where are these people going to fit?

    Pros

I recently joined Natera and have been incredibly impressed by how smart, supportive, and passionate people are about executing the company's mission. The talent and passion here extends across functional groups and from the most senior managers to junior/entry level employees. This is a very supportive company which is sure to serve as a springboard for successful careers and valuable professional development.

    Cons

Not many cons. Things move quickly at Natera but (and despite with other reviews may suggest) that is a pro; the opposite of moving quickly is to work at a bad company.

    Pros

Cutting edge products, changing the world of medicine, chance to work on crazy amazing products. If you have the right manager you will be fine.

    Cons

If you have the wrong manager your life could fall apart. Upper management frequently has meetings with people yelling at each other. These are people with MDs and PhDs yelling at each other -it is a little scary if you think about it.

    Pros

Excellent leadership, creative and responsible Director

    Cons

Hires immature leadership, still involved in a Click, not allowing fair advancement. Employees with more seniority and a much higher production, over looked for a more Buddy like system

    Advice to Management

If you are "In" with the appropriate click, you will advance. Regardless of experience and time "served. Be fair and award your highest prodecures. Management is creating an atmosphere of resnt

    Pros

I just joined Natera, and I'm really happy about the company and where it's heading. Besides the free catered lunches and the other perks, we just had our quarterly "Town Hall" and I'm really excited about all that's going on. My boss seems level headed and fair. The pay is on par with rest of the area.

    Cons

It's a challenge to absorb everything. There's a ton to get done, and timelines are tight.

    Advice to Management

The "Town Halls" are great. Keep them up.

    - Great opportunity to work on new ideas, fast pace and delivering new products
    - Good benefits with gym, lunch and other facilities on site
    - Growing value of the company and stock options incentives

    Cons

    - Fast growth of the company can be stressing
    - Immense hiring has lead to challenge in passing the cultural values.

    Pros

Natera is growing very quickly, has cutting edge science, their products are making a big difference to patients, it's a data driven environment, and has huge potential.

    Cons

It's stressful. Expectations are very high - this cuts both ways.

    Advice to Management

If you can find a way to keep up the rate of growth and product development with a bit more lifestyle balance, that would be lovely.

    Pros

The technology is top notch. The teams are friendly and very hard working. Because it's growing so fast, there is a lot of opportunity for promotion. The catered lunches, game room and gym are nice perks.

    Cons

There's so much to do, it can be overwhelming if you're not organized. Growing so fast has been tough.

    Advice to Management

Try to communicate corporate goals better to everyone in the company.

    Pros

You'll be making the world better, taking on some key challenges of life and health, working with a dedicated and bright team, and helping to develop truly impressive technology. The people at Natera are generally highly motivated and interesting individuals. The culture is to work hard and expect excellence but there is also a lot of play... taking breaks with TV or pool in the game rooms, gym, poker gatherings, ping-pong tournaments, teams go out regularly together, good free food for lunches which brings everyone together to hang, friday beer breaks etc.

    Cons

I guess the culture doesn't work for everyone. This is not a place to be if you don't want to put in real effort to contribute to something great. You need to be ready to think and learn and grow.

    Advice to Management

I think good decisions have been made because the growth has been phenomenal, but these decisions could be better explained to all levels of the company. I know the senior management has been really busy with the rapid scaling and frankly it's amazing that we've been able to grow so fast, but more time needs to be found for communication to all levels.
