Senior leaders believe in providing the environment for leaders in which to lead, one that is self-directed and collaborative. If younare looking for a chain of command, micro-management, this isn't it. The mission is the best, the members are great and staff are experts in their fields and very hard workers. Pay scales are regularly reviewed with maintaining staff over the 50th percentile in pay and the benefits have been recognized as tops in the association field. Staff with high emotional intelligence is valued with the ability to lead their own initiatives.
It is such a great place to work that staff tend to stay so it is hard to be promoted to senior leadership positions. Some staff have become disenchanted with the lack of ability to be promoted for tenure but that's not what promotions are about. If you want to stay you need to be satisfied with the work, the potential for increasing responsibilities and pay but not the title. If the title s important, then dont work here or move on.

Apply organization wide strategies to common needs but otherwise keep doing what you're doing.
