I worked at National Beverage full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Many hours of overtime although working OT is mandatory for salary employees.

    Cons

Many hours of mandatory OT but only paid straight time until after 50 hrs.
People with identical titles do not have the same work load or are made to follow the same policies.
HR is not for the people, it is for the company.
Poor Upper management who expect the middle man to treat the man on the bottom poorly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The people who work for you are adults, treat them as adults. Make your employees have accountability, collect facts before throwing your hands in the air and yell (literally). Treat employees with respect and have similar work loads for those in the same positions.

    I worked at National Beverage

    Pros

    Stable company...almost stagnant.
If you are an average to poor performer with no desire to grow you should apply here.

    Cons

Dated systems, archaic management style, no desire for best practices or employee input.
    Very poor leadership. No honesty.
Products are tired and mostly copycats.
    No respect for work/life balance.
    Highly distrustful culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Realize that it's 2012!
Treat people with respect and be honest.
All of the platitudes in the world mean nothing if the following actions are mean spirited.
For the CEO, there is no "I" in "team".
