    Pros

National Church Residences has a good focus and mission. People seem to genuinely care about the work they do work. I especially liked the fact that they have open prayer once a month that is open to all employees.

    Cons

The training in the area I was in was not suitable for the time that I was expected to learn the job. I feel like this company has a high turned over simply because they do not take the time needed to train the employees. The workload is so extensive that it takes at least 6 months to 1 year to actually feel comfortable in working in a position. ...Very heavy workload and poor supervision. I don't believe most of the HR staff are educated in their field so the company has slow growth in company goals and high expectations in production. Manager relied on staff to manage new employees.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest the company to simply go through a reorg process and form a Organizational Management Department that determines better processes that work together for the company as a whole to include the mission, goals, finances, best practice research, technology and employees ...etc.

Thank you for the positive review! On a side note, only a portion of our properties are low income. Many are in very lovely areas.

I have been working at National Church Residences full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Job security and autonomy-If you get the right immediate supervisor your job can be good and you can take ownership of your property but if you get the wrong one you could hate your job and be micro-managed. It's a big corporation so your experience will depend greatly on your direct supervisor.

    Cons

Corporate is always a pain to deal with. Most, if not all, of the people in the corporate office have never worked onsite yet they make the rules for onsite staff. This makes for wildly unattainable responsibilities and time requirements.

The required travel for conferences was always a waste of time. No one enjoyed them. You will be required to travel on your day off and you will not be fairly compensated.

    Advice to Management

    Understand the onsite experience.

    Pros

Great benefits and upbeat, fun office atmosphere.
Everyone here is kind and helpful.
Sense of humbleness and pride knowing we really help people.
Our work is respected by management.
We honor God and each other.
Management is dedicated to helping us succeed to move to the next level. They encourage and provide training to sharpen our current skills as well as learn new ones. Very supportive and they say Thank You often.

    Cons

Our company is large therefore it will take several years to completely understand all the departments and services and how it all fits together.

    Advice to Management

Continue moving forward with our mission and goals.

    Pros

This ad saying don't work here. I should have looked at glassdoor reviews before hiring on to this scam employer.
Just cant say enough about the turnover at this location.
The regional manager is a con job.

    Cons

    To many to list.
The pay is lousy the unpaid afterhour calls are the tip of the iceberg. everything in your employee handbook is virtually a lie about pay. and get ready to drive up to a hundred miles away to other rest homes where turnover has occurred to back fill for bad management practices.....ON YOUR OWN DIME.
This company shorted me over 3grand then fired me for complaining, then the new boss who originally sided with the company.... was scammed by the company (yes the one who fired me) and he too was fired 1 month after me. hahaha!

    Advice to Management

Cease and desist your company is a failure. If I find you giving out information that is anything less than stellar about my services while at NCR,,, I have over 20 residence who will come to court and vouch for my top quality service. And I have documented 5 wrongful terminations in 3 locations you service. I'm certain a everyone of them is sour about you as well.
I have residence bump into me on a regular basis today 2015 and beg me to return.
I can only tell them Management hasn't changed a bit the glassdoor complaints still are the same over a 4 year sampling....they all virtually tell the same thing I spout today in a rainbow variety of flavors.
