    Positive Outlook

I have been working at National Church Residences part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The wonderful people we work with. The Staff. The community support.

    Cons

Not enough hours or budget to get it all done.

    Advice to Management

Continue growing your employees. The ne incentive to make 30hrs full time is a great step toward employee satisfaction and retention. Focus more on the communities outside of Ohio, bringing the positive changes company wide.

Put all housekeeping staff 5 days a week in their own area. Then more things can get done.

I have been working at National Church Residences full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are a new grad nurse then pay is terrible. If you have some experience then pay is not that bad. You qualify for a raise once a year, usually not much but still a raise. They have tuition assistance after one year of working. They offer 12 hr shifts. Pay double time on holidays.

    Cons

Administration Administration Administration I have been there for many years and No one cares about you. They treat you like a walking pharmacy on wheels. Once you begin to talk and ask for help or point out things that need fixed you are automatically silenced or your need is passed about from boss to boss. They are always short staffed and many new nurses that come in leave before the end of there 90 days. Just beware and ask a lot of questions in your interview. It is not uncommon for one nurse to pass 60 residents pills. There is no help for the staff at all.

    Advice to Management

HELP US OUT. we do more than just pass pills. We have a voice and at the end of the day we are the ones who take care of the residents. Not you. Appreciate us.

I worked at National Church Residences full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

National Church Residences has a good focus and mission. People seem to genuinely care about the work they do work. I especially liked the fact that they have open prayer once a month that is open to all employees.

    Cons

The training in the area I was in was not suitable for the time that I was expected to learn the job. I feel like this company has a high turned over simply because they do not take the time needed to train the employees. The workload is so extensive that it takes at least 6 months to 1 year to actually feel comfortable in working in a position. ...Very heavy workload and poor supervision. I don't believe most of the HR staff are educated in their field so the company has slow growth in company goals and high expectations in production. Manager relied on staff to manage new employees.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest the company to simply go through a reorg process and form a Organizational Management Department that determines better processes that work together for the company as a whole to include the mission, goals, finances, best practice research, technology and employees ...etc.
