Pros
opportunities for advancement, training, time off and paid holidays. hours are excellent and work/life balance is stronly encouraged.
Cons
dealing with customers regarding things beyond your control (policies & procedures)
Advice to Senior Management
keep up the great work! This is a great place to work.
Pros
The work was simple repetitive tasks. Once you learned what to do, it was 'easy' work.
Cons
Work was extremely repetitive.
Horrible Management, who relied on e-mails to communicate everything. If they were a desk away, they would e-mail you to say "can you come over to see me". Very impersonal.
Also I was mislead during interview in thinking there were additional opportunities - basically lied to.
Once you are working there, you have no control on what other positions you will be doing. If Management want to move you... you get a day or so notice and you are required to move.
Advice to Senior Management
Don't lie to employees.
Give feedback often, including positive.
Pros
this is a good and respectable job to have. There is plenty of Opportunity for advancement here at national city bank. you have a great schedule with great bankers hours. They are closed on sunday and they are only open for a half a day on saturdays. if you meet your referral goals you get paid a cash bonus. when you are hired they require you to go through a two week training class. You do get paid for the training. the training class is very thorough and very helpful. You have all legal holidays off and paid vacations each year.
Cons
if you have small children and need to leave work unexpectedly this is not the job you want!
Advice to Senior Management
be more family friendly!!!
Pros
The Bank has an excellent benefit package with a great 401(k) match. For those of us that have been around a while there is even a pension plan although it is a cash balance plan as opposed to a defined benefit plan. The employees are nice and for the most part are knowledgeable.
Cons
The Bank has been hammered in the press and the stock price is so far down it will probably never come back. Also the bank technology is horrible.
Advice to Senior Management
Get the house in order and consider retention bonuses to those that stay.
