    Pros

VERY Great compensation. Some people can make $100,000 at an entry level job if you put effort into it.

The Culture is what makes the work place. Family feeling.

Management treats themselves as one of you. You are your own CEO.

    Cons

I have no cons for this job. If you don't like a normal work week or working in a downtown area, then that could be your con.

I have been working at National General Insurance full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Coworkers, location, work hours, and some of the managers (I have been under 4 in less than a year).

    Cons

Pay, benefits, bad coworkers that are hurting me because we are using a team concept for some job related duties. Constantly changing teams and managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove slow managers from their position. It is hard for me to believe that they would be able to handle the CR role and the pace required to succeed as a CR. Obviously being a good CR is not a requirement to be a manager, but their behaviors and inability to keep up with their job duties was likely something that could have been observed prior to their promotion. At the end of the day having a "nice" manager is great but I would prefer a manager who is able to help me get the job done and help me hit the #'s to get my raise and bonuses.

    Pros

    Great coworkers and good cafeteria

    Cons

Low level managers are sneaky, cutthroat, and lack integrity. The reviews that say this job isn't for everybody mean it's not for those with self-respect or those not easily brainwashed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your dedicated employees and show some integrity. Stop chewing up your employees and spitting them out.

    Pros

Pay I suppose, coworkers make the job bearable, strong glass windows to prevent you from jumping out

    Cons

The modern day corporation has been described a soulless, life sucking and in the words of Thomas Hobbes nasty and brutish. NatGen exemplifies in all these respects, whether it systems that don't work (which you are still held accountable for your work regardless if the tools or broken) to the fact you can literally feel that management knows you are disposable. And it makes sense! This is a company and if you don't submit to there absurd productivity metrics they'll can you and find some other yahooo off on the street who they can sweet talk about how great of an expanding company this is. If you need to put food on the table, you literally can't do worst because this company is literally the bottom of the bottom. Seriously, it makes Wal-Mart or Amazon look like Apple of Google in terms of the way they treat employees.

Most employers are very hard working and dedicated to their jobs.

    Cons

As a prior reviewer put it - once in the cross hairs - forget it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be fair - don't say it is ok to make mistakes when there is no truth to that.

I have been working at National General Insurance full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    I get paid on time.

    Cons

Specific managers - BI managers and their all girls club...hr issue anyone? MD managers that are behind while other managers are up to date. It is a metrics driven place...what the heck is going on when a manger is dragging you down? A CR would be put on warning and eventually terminated. What's up with that?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Flush the BI side out. Get rid of of the DCM as that level of management is the core reason for the poor environment. Terminate the employees that are bringing the office numbers down. Get with it...the company is profit driven...at least act like you are onboard and let the leaches go! I say no opinion on the CEO because I think that if he knew what was going on he would take action...my gut tells me that the upper management feeds him BS as opposed to reality.
