I have been working at National Institute for Smart Government as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

No pros...Only cons...It can destroy your career. End of it for sure. Join it only if your career is already done..

    Cons

Coming to NISG was the biggest mistake of my life.
It could ruin the long time career made with patience and hard work.
I will not recommend it even to a person I hate.

There are no perks in this job..chances are you will not even get a proper seat here (I am not able to digest this fact even now). I have completed my one year and I still do not have a seat :) ...
Other negatives are security...We report to an IAS officer of Secretary rank...As soon as they come to know your salary (which will be almost double), they will start harassing you...They can terminate you anytime...
The only way to survive is to do buttering and pretension as there is no work and so no proving..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    No management...Nothing like it

I worked at National Institute for Smart Government full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

An opportunity to work on projects which directly impact citizens of my country

    Cons

Treatment by state employees is really bad. NISG doesn't do anything about it ever after complaints. Work assigned doesn't match the job profile.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should hire an external agency to do a survey every 3 months with employees placed at various states. If employees are not treated fairly you should act and save their interests.

I worked at National Institute for Smart Government as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

Salary on time with good flexible salary components.

    Cons

It's another out sourcing form which does not support its employee.
    No professional growth.
Contract which can be terminated any day with no proper cause.
My advise is to totally stay away with this fraud company.

    Pros

If you want to work on some finest projects in government sector, NISG provides you that gateway.

    Cons

This is simply a placement agency so it does not care much about placed people. One has to navigate himself/herself in government departments. Only join if you are willing to work on government project which are mostly unstructured.

    Pros

there are some like - assured salary at the end of month, exposure to find out on your own why govt projects are in such a state ;)

    Cons

    1. It's a body shopper for govt projects.
    2. It doesn't understand what HR management is.
    3. It doesn't care for its employees and isn't concerned about their genuine needs as well.
    4. Surprising how it's incompetent recruitment guys are still managing to get skills from the market.
