I have been working at National Instruments full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work life balanced, usually don't need to work overtime.
It's nice to start engineer career in NI with nice salary in China

    Cons

Salary in NI Austin is quite below average, so the high cost for Shanghai engineer makes it less competitive, Austin doesn't take care of Shanghai branch so much, rubbish projects come to Shanghai.
Practically NI is a traditional IT company, who provides test equipment and engineers working in test industry are hard to find another competitive employer especially after years of test working experience.
Poor salary raise each year makes capable senior engineer leave.
    Poor management like state-owned company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get good projects from Austin and make Shanghai branch grow.

I have been working at National Instruments full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good colleagues, good mentorship and you could learn a lot when starting your career. There are also a lot of great engineers there.

    Cons

At least for branch employees, there is not much space to grow especially in technical track. Also the local management team does not behave efficiently enough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There has to be some change in branch management team.
