I have been working at National Money Mart full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been with the company for 5+ years. I started off at store level working as a Customer Service Representative and received my first promotion within a year and a half of some hard work. I became a Branch Manager and ran a couple different branches and received a surplus of hands on training. I was part of a great team and my district manager was very supportive. There are quartley incentives, which are pretty realistic and attainable if you are constantly working towards them. After being a Branch Manager for a couple years, I was presented with an opportunity to work at one of our head office locations. You are literally given the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up. I can honestly say I see myself continuing to grow with this company for many years to come.

    Cons

Work-life balance a little difficult to achieve: Shifts are pretty much all over the place (still full-time hours attained), not very consistent; could be working early mornings, to days then afternoons all in the same week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep personal life/relationships discussions to a minimum, focus on your career and you will surely grow within the company.

    Pros

Hours, flexibility, positive fellow employees and close to transportation.

    Cons

Didn't have any, place had good pay, especially compared to the job market today. No cons, besides me being a silly young lady to not take the job as seriously as I could had :(

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't discuss your relationship/personal life issues with the employees, total turn off and distraction! Im here to work and socialize based off of work, not my home life!

I have been working at National Money Mart

    Pros

Money Mart provided me with employment with little experience in the "real world" and i am forever grateful for that . The training is rigorous but you have a network to always help you. Working here has really built my character, in a very sick way. I've learned to not trust people and to investigate everything.

I have been working at National Money Mart part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Most employees are great, store managers are flexible with employee scheduling. Great learning experience, handing some difficult customers. challenging but rewarding opportunities.

    Cons

Management Is not trained properly on how not to be BIAS! DM can some times favour people even if they are wrong. Constant drama from store to store.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please start focusing on being non-bias towards employees. Proper training needs to be provided to Store managers and DM. At time DM will take the side of Branch Managers even if they are wrong.
