It's a great Company to work for.

Department Supervisor (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsNOV is a company who invests in it's employees training and advancement. Keeps advancing with new technologies and improves on the older proven technologies to keep a good financial position in the industry. It's business model is excellent.

ConsThe salaries lag behind others in the same field. Needs to move more to a field service company in some of it's products to help diversify in the industry.

Advice to Senior ManagementCost of living raises needs to be equal across the board and not more generous to just the upper management. It actually improves productivity when employees feel the company appreciates the work that's put in to make the company what it is. Upper management tells it's underlings what it wants, but we make it happen.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Houston, TX

ProsIf you don't like your job, you can transfer into a new position every 6 months.

ConsManagement is incompetent, yet they think they know everything.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet you head out of your *** and start to LISTEN TO OTHERS.

Great job to start off and get your foot in the door

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Houston, TX

ProsFlexible hours, great drilling experience, it is left up to you on what you make out of it, creative environment, and laid back bosses.

ConsInternal trainings are awful and a waste of time, it takes forever to do anything outside of your team, a lot of meetings, too many finger in your pie, and hard to get rid of people that do not do their daily job.

Advice to Senior ManagementSend employees to outside training, better raises that are not based on how your team does but how you do and none of the this is the max percentage that was passed down to corporate it discourages your people to be motivated to work harder, do retention bonuses, and be competitive in salaries

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
