  1. Pathetic. They ran what used to be Summit Solutions into the ground.

    Pros

When it was Summit Solutions it was a wonderful place to work. Great owners that cared about the employees. In return the employees busted their tails to make Summit Solutions a thriving company.

They pay well. They're fairly flexible.

    Cons

After the acquisition, the new owners (a group of investors) replaced the successful management with a bunch of "C" level executives. CEO, CFO, CTO, CIO etc. Layers of management with huge salaries and nothing to show for it. All of whom came on board with SERIOUS attitudes. They totally wrecked the wonderful culture that was Summit Solutions, and if I didn't know any better it was almost as if they had never done this before. They had no plan, they simply acquired 3 companies at the same time, tried to mesh them together with no real plan of action. They began losing contracts, and all the good people who helped build Summit Solutions got the hell out of there.

NSP has some of the most incompetent leadership of any organization I've ever worked for. The simultaneously wrecked three companies that they acquired.

    Advice to Management

Newsflash. Next time you acquire a company, think about WHY you acquired them. You obviously acquired successful companies with good DoD contracts. Don't come in and wreck it. Come in and allow the companies to continue to run as they had been running.

    Pros

You get a paycheck and you may have an opportunity to work on interesting mission work. Benefits are ok, but not great. Stated values are good, but not attained by new management.

    Cons

The original executive team was gutted by investors and replaced by people who don't know what they are doing. They cut staff by 1/3 and can't execute their strategy and now there is no support for people in the field.
