    Pros

People were great and cared about one another. Very process oriented. Good work/life balance. So many professionals passed through National, it was like the farm team for the semi industry.

    Cons

Company never had a good strategy for winning. It had too many different strategies over time and placed too many diverse bets.

    Advice to Management

Selling was a good choice for shareholders and employees who remain.

    Pros

The people are all super nice, down to earth and pretty sharp. The perks of the campus in Santa Clara are the subsized gym and cafeteria. You can also play on the softball field, volleyball court or soccer field.

    Cons

There aren't any places to eat within walking distance for lunch so you pretty much end up eating at the company cafeteria which isn't so bad. The food is subsidized and pretty healthy. It does get super hot in summertime.

    Advice to Management

I heard that TI was planning on changing a lot of things when they acquired the company. I hope they kept the perks for the company and didn't fill in the koi pond.

    Pros

This is pre Texas Instruments take over. Very tech driven and no politics. Reasonable place to work.

    Cons

Heard it is not as good now that Texas Instruments took over. So can not really say much about now.

    Pros

Made sure you were compensated for your work, whether you were hourly or Salary. Didn’t discriminate against hiring women for same management positions that men were doing, unlike most of the Central Valley companies. Most management treated employees with respect.

    Cons

Too many department closures, which lead to lay-offs, due to new technologies.

    Advice to Management

Company now owned by Texas Insturments.
