    Great colleagues, poor benefits

Graduate Student (Current Employee) Singapore (Singapore)

Pros- My colleagues from my department and my institute are very friendly and helpful
    - Pleasant working environment - our office and labs are well-furnished, and the campus has lots of greenery

    Cons- Poor compensation and benefits
    - Research staff and students are completely at the mercy of the PIs, with no recourse for grievances (as mentioned by other reviewers)
    - Human Resources, Finance and the Registrar's Office are full of sadists who enjoy tormenting staff with administrative red tape

Advice to Senior Management- The university really needs a proper avenue for staff and students to report grievances, such as an ombudsman office - there are too many sad tales of exploitation and unjust treatment
    - Administrative red tape is overwhelming needs to be brought under control

    – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
