I have been working at National Valuation Consultants

    Pros

    - Good oportunites for advancement.
    - Able to work hours one wants to work - as much or as little as one desires
    - People are great and always willing to help
    - small-firm culture without much office politics
    - great location
    - business casual dress-code (emphasis on the casual)
    - Senior staff very competent and approachable

    Cons

    - Pay is not good before one moves out of research and into appraisal
    - when starting in appraisal, long hours are the norm and it takes a while to increase your fee split.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    None at this time.

I worked at National Valuation Consultants

    Pros

The location in Denver, the lax dress code, and it isn't bad for a first job out of college. That's it

    Cons

The hours are long and the pay sucks since you don't get overtime. Assignments are given without much direction or management for quality

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start paying people a decent wage and promote them to appraisers before turnover gets any hire. Be loyal to your employees
