I worked at NationsHealth full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent hours and weekends off

    Cons

High sales pressure to sell and harass people to buy their crappy insurance. They hire new people every week then fire them all within weeks without paying them all that was promised. I worked there for 2 weeks and they only paid me $150 total even though I was promised to make a guaranteed $300 per week.

    Advice to Management

Be more professional and upfront with wages. Also, lose the ghetto, vulgar music that blasts all day long.

I worked at NationsHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the coworkers are friendly and the jobs are normally so simple they require a single brain cell.

    Cons

Management is incredibly unprofessional at times. They do not care for the other employees or think as a unit. They play games to advance themselves and burn others. Talent is driven away. The reviews here all point in that direction.

    Advice to Management

Time to change the entire corporate culture and bring more positivity. Normally a bad corporate culture comes from the top.

I worked at NationsHealth full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Steady job until they let you go with no notice.

    Cons

The scripts they give you to read are unprofessional and poorly written. Quality Assurance consists of people who may have completed high school. They fire at will for petty or no reason att all. Training is a joke. In short, work there until you get a better job elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Try to train the employees and try to write scripts that make sense.

    Worst experience of my life

I worked at NationsHealth full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None (really), except that it's a job.

    Cons

I really believe that people stay away from this place. It ruined my life. Every department is small so if you believe your supervisor is being highly unethical and that person happens to be cozy with HR (who's basically one person), you're out of luck. In addition, a lot of jobs were eliminated and shipped to a third world country, probably paying agents $1 an hour instead of $10. From a money standpoint as well, it's not worth it. Family insurance premium can be more expensive than cobra rates - seriously. That's not normal. Might as well get insurance on your own.

    Advice to Management

Quit making short cuts and job cuts. People catch on and will hold resentment. Once the economy turns around, you'll be out of luck retaining talent. Obviously this place is bad according to reviews. You look at other companies and there's at least some positive reviews, averaging 3.

I worked at NationsHealth full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a job in time of need - they will hire ALMOST anyone

    Cons

Between petty bickering, power plays and just downright games by management, this is one place to avoid. DO NOT work here. I spent a year in the Gahanna Ohio location and have never seen so much drama in my life - all caused by unprofessional management.

    Pros

    I worked monday thru friday.

    Cons

Unfair job writeups. Given by uneducated management. At any given time they would change the hours you work from 30 to 40 a week. To suit call volume.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees more fairly

  9. Coworkers are friendly, but as an intern I didn't gain much valuable experience.

    Former Intern - Anonymous Intern

I worked at NationsHealth as an intern

    Pros

People are nice and friendly. The company is growing. Everyone is professional. Dress attire is relatively casual compared to other companies.

    Cons

Not a lot of people are happy working there. There aren't many advancement opportunities. Management is pretty shady and you can tell they are keeping secrets.
