ProsFriendly supervisors, helpful supports from management and other departments. Willing to corporate with universities to explore innovations together. Flexible working time

ConsThere are not enough workforce in the crew pairing product. It is better if they can recruit more graduates to improve the product. Need to think about a robust crew pairing optimizer

Great talent at base level, but lacking unified, collocated and visionary leadership

    Rather Not Say (Current Employee)
    Waterloo, ON (Canada)

ProsRelaxed atmosphere, flexible hours, no lack of social events and friendly colleagues. Small company = opportunity for advancement if you put the hard work in and show initiative.

ConsMediocre pay, lack of a unified vision that everyone can buy into and get behind.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry and focus less on low-revenue, service-intensive clients and high-revenue but less service-intensive clients such as American, BA, SAS, Finnair.

Communicate your vision for the company's future (are we going major airlines or are we focusing on small carriers?) to everyone BEFORE the day when everyone is summoned to hear about a major customer like BA deciding to drop us. Anything you say on such a day sounds like spin/coverup, no matter how true it is. And this shatters employee morale and trust in the exec.

To this day, employees have no idea why the EFB project was never undertaken for aircraft that are clearly the future of aviation for major airlines (A380, 787, A350). In hindsight, it seems like a monumental opportunity wasted to engage Jeppesen and Lido and beat them at their own game.

Loved the people and the industry. Great environment to work in, much to learn.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThis was a great company to work for in that the people who work there are super. Friendly atmosphere and fascinating industry if you enjoy anything to with airlines. Very flexible and accommodating with respect to working from home.

ConsNot always a lot of room to move and the pay is not excellent if you are a developer. The company tends to lose people due to these reasons.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a salary review from an industry standpoint and up your wages. This would reduce turn over.
