I have been working at Ncaa full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    -Excellent benefits and perks
    -Nice location downtown
    -People are great

    Cons

    -Morale is very low
-Senior management is elitist and clueless
-Pay is well below market value -- unless you're an executive, of course
    -Very political environment
-No career path or upward mobility
    -Favoritism is rampant
-Focus on "diversity/inclusion" goes way overboard

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The NCAA needs to be run like a business, not a higher education institution, and that includes paying people the market value and not promoting incompetent favorites or hiring Managing Directors with only a couple of years of experience.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Ncaa full-time

    Pros

It's college sports - and the potential to impact student-athletes in a positive way.

    Cons

The organization was once a great place to work. But it's downright depressing these days, as people are leaving in droves. There is no leadership, no vision. And the work of the staff is under-appreciated by management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit reorganizing departments and focus on providing value to the membership.

I worked at Ncaa as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

Good about promoting from within. Everyone is friendly and you have many former athletes working there. A competitive environment but overall is a good place to work. Also Indy is a relatively cheap place to live.

    Cons

A lot of meetings at the NCAA and it is really part of their culture. Many things could probably be decided without meetings but that is how things are done there.
