I worked at Necco full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    New CEO.
    Close to the beach.
Some of the ceiling tiles remain affixed to the ceiling and have not yet fallen to the ground

    Cons

Lack of management direction - no strategy.
    Horrible culture and work environment.
People are sad. Facilities are antiquated and unsafe

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I expect new CEO to bring direction to this rudderless ship. Company has 12-36 months to turnaround before PE owner busts it up sells the brands and the land.

I have been working at Necco full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Had a great momentum and then blew it. Operations is a sponge of inefficiency. Ferrara took the plan and executed it better than the private equity firm.

    Cons

Lack of vision, focused on short term, investment bankers are not marketers or sales people. Can't admit that they don't understand the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a strategy, get a plan, fix operations and then grow the business.

    Pros

None! A couple of good co-workers that have mostly left already, or trying to get the heck out of there.

    Cons

Being run by a couple of capital investment guys who do not have a clue. They make decisions that put the company even more at risk than it already is. The 2 of them are known derogatorily to recruiters, city officials, and others as "just plain awful". They think they "know it all" & can do no wrong. The employee morale is beyond bad & they genuinely do not care about morale or anyone. They play games with vendors on who gets paid & have to borrow to pay payroll/bills. Besides all of that, they have a mice infestation in the factory that would turn anyone's stomach if they knew how bad it was!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just give up, you are no longer fighting a battle, you lost long ago, you are just making everyone miserable! Pay rates and salaries are laughable.
