ProsNeopost has a really fun culture and treats all employees with resepect. The Senior Management has a good vision for the company and explains that vision to all workers. I think they really care about the people they have working for them. Even though salaries are not the best, Neopost knows the importance of family life and promotes all employees to have a good work life balance.

ConsThey need to put more focus on training new employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to spend more time matching the right people to jobs

ProsBest working environment ever!
The senior management gives you interesting missions if you worth it
The marketing team (what I know) is really competent.

ConsThe salesmen are too important, over protected and some are way too much paid, compared to other areas...

Advice to Senior ManagementDon t let the marketing get down...
Don t let valuable interns (graduates) leave the company...
Need to improve the HR hiring policies

Former Employee – worked at Neopost

ProsNeopost allowed me to intern in several departments during my two summers of working there. I got to experience every aspect of the business focusing mostly on legal, marketing and human resources. Neopost kept there employees very knowledgable about what was going on in the compay. Every quarter they had quartely communication meetings where the upper management would report back to the whole company about the status of their department.

ConsI really enjoyed my internship experience at Neopost. Everyone was really willinging to help me learn. They only con about the internship was that I was the only intern. It would have been nice to have some one else to share my experience with and bounce ideas off of.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep on communicating with the employees everyone feels more invested in the company when they know whats going on. Hire more interns!

London, England (UK)

Former Employee – worked at Neopost

Pros- Good Training,
- If you have the right manager then Good Support,
- If you have a central london patch then you can earn a lot of money,
- Product and Service is much better then Arch Rival

Cons- Disturbingly high staff turnover in my one year there most of the 24 salespeople in my office left,
- Product and Services are chronically over priced,
- Only sell franking machines whilst arch rival is selling everything else too from stationary to copiers,
- Targets are unrealistic, in the monthly management meetings i only ever saw a handfull of people hit target (intrestingly they have a central london patch)

Advice to Senior Management- Stop loosing your best sales executives to rivals by increasing the basic,
- Sell more than just franking machines, as the industry will continue to decline,
- Change target system,

Former Employee – worked at Neopost

ProsInternational Company makes downturns in individual markets less likely to impact the overall company. Has considerable financial strength and a good reputation in the market, especially in Europe.

ConsSerious lack of communication between business units. This often results in unit managers making decisions that benefit one unit but are detrimental to the rest of the company. Is old school with some senior employees unwilling to consider fresh approaches to the market.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider taking the best of Neopost (and now absorbed Hasler) and making a corporate culture that takes the lead away from Pitney Bowes rather than being satisfied with the crumbs from Pitney's table.

Former Employee – worked at Neopost full-time

ProsCan make some money at NAE position or above, Lots of freedom, Some nice people, Big territory, Good bonuses

ConsPoor training, bad revenue splitting policies, lots of favortism, run like a "mom and pop" in a bad way, disconnect between corporate and dealer network, poor pricing support, management may ask you to be unethical, road warrior position, poor work/life balance, CRM cluttered/unorganized, and some reps will not hesitate to snake your accounts.

Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in employees, Do away with ASE position altogether, get rid of revenue/commission splits, pay commissions on time rather than on a 2 month delay, and have better communication between corporate and the dealer network.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
