I have been working at Nestlé full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The Flexible work schedule, Benefits, 401K, Healthcare, Pets in the work place

    Cons

Pay Incentives, Promotions/Advancement, Annual Salary Increases

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be a better structure in place for retaining the workforce and making sure people are being paid what they should be - a yearly review - if someone is underpaid for their position then make the adjustment and pay them what they should be making. If a person out performs others in the job performance and skill set then reward them - a blanket salary increase that is the same across the board is not a reward for the same work done. In addition follow a succession plan that someone can work towards - our workforce is getting older and more people will be retiring - get the people on board that are looking for advancement and bring them along rather than wait till someone leaves the company and have to go through a hiring process and start from ground zero.

I worked at Nestlé as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

work life balance was good, fun events happening at work

    Cons

too much gossiping going on which is unfortunately led by the fairer gender. All the work was put on contracts and with the move from this area, the management didn't even have the decency to give a heads up about ending the contract. I guess that is common to almost all big organizations in America. They say that they are in meetings but 60% of the time it was women sitting around gossiping about non-work stuff.

I am always willing to learn and apply new things (got the job because of that) but I hit a wall in the pizza area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I know that there is a hiring freeze but at least try to connect with employees, as bad communication with them would only lead to people having a bad impression of the company. I know that these people can "threaten" the jobs that you have been holding for 10+ years, but you will have to retire one day or even, gasp, let go by a company wide corporate shake up that could happen

    I worked at Nestlé full-time

    Pros

Company is known internationally and is considered as one of the biggest manufacturer in food industry.

    Cons

Company has become greedy. It's not an environment and health-friendly company. Seems that they're not concern about the public's food nutrition but only strive for their profit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Update your products and ingredients to more sustainable ones and do not exploit the earth's resources.
