Pros
Good people to work with, good carrer oportunities
Cons
Bad Salaries, poor prirization, too much stress
Advice to Senior Management
Improve priorization
Pros
Pay and benefits very fair. Good exposure to senior management. Good exposure to other parts of Nestle as needed. The company has a real commitment to quality and getting the message out on recycling efforts. Good community member.
Cons
Like all places there are good and bad managers. Some divisions / functions are more aggressive than others in expectations and working hours. Research new managers before accepting assignments.
Pros
Exposure is very good mainly because there are fewer people and leaner structures so you can do things which in other places may not be possible at your level.
Cons
Risk taking is very low. Many mediocre people in the organization who are pulling the company performance down or not letting the company reach its full potential.
Advice to Senior Management
Identify high performers from mediocres. cultivate a culture of high performance and do not tolerate 'slack'
Pros
Good name on CV, if you are lucky you can get great international exposure
Cons
Be prepared to wait years before getting a key position. The 'number of years' of experience is the top most criteria for career progression.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on talent and abilities, not on decades of loyalty
Pros
Nestle has great pay scales compared with surrounding businesses, and there is plenty of overtime -- if that's what you're looking for.
Cons
Lots of forced overtime -- sometimes with little advance notice -- can really put a damper on vacation and other planned activities if not done formally through management using limited personal time. It is very difficult to move up the ladder to management, though it does happen if you can stand the place for long enough. Overall, a frustrating work environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior Management needs to be more professional and explanatory to other employees. Disappointing how some situations were handled.
Pros
It is an easy going working atmosphere and the people who work there tend to be good people. The atmosphere you work inis not too bad. The office can be quite fun or certain days when moral is high. Also the bonus scheme makes it possible to enhance your salary.
Cons
The organisation is poorly run with constant problems which continually arise. When things go badly the whole office feels it and moral can be low due to constant mistakes and missed deliverys.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees about why the same problems continually arise.
