Advice to Senior Management
How do you make sure the hard workers are compensated so they don't try to leave?
Pros
Cutting edge technology to work on. Good work environment. Excellent learning curve.Fair understanding of OS , Storage protocols such as FCP, iSCSI, NFS , CIFS . All are integrated together under one umbrella. Gives scope for testing all protocols
Cons
Pay can be on par with the best since technology is the best. Management needs to be clearer on individual goals . The goals are very ambiguous . This needs to be corrected . Focal should be aligned with other companies time period
Advice to Senior Management
Need to stick to timelines . Cadence is supreme. Content should be flexible . Growth oppurtunities can also be better. Managers are good. Keep the momentum going
Pros
balanced personal life and work, friendly working environment
Cons
slow to grow in ability, a lot of stuffs to learn and severely lack of systematic documentation
Pros
Netapp is a great place to work and I enjoy it here because of its flexible work hours, flat hierarchy, beer bash, good culture, innovation and trust.
Cons
I have felt that the organization lacks process at some places but sometimes that works out well.
Pros
Candor, benefits, employee stock, rewards employee contribution.
Cons
Much change for a large company. Overhauling many groups regularly.
Advice to Senior Management
Stronger consideration to apply the candid feedback when a team as a whole suggests changes that do not hinder revenue or employee satisfaction.
