Pros
Really a great team and direct access to senior management who remember who you are. Skilled people across the globe. Office culture is great and work/life balance is honored
Cons
Products needs to stay competitive in this tough market. They are getting there but need to try harder. Need to really harness the employees to retain talent.
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on the employees, don't be afraid to make big strategic changes. Target what you're really good at and known for as a company.
Pros
Private company therefore more agile.
Cons
Struggling with how to be a "big" company.
Advice to Senior Management
I know they are proud of the "flat" org structure. However, if NetIQ expects to become a "big" player they have to understand that there needs to be more focused leadership.
Pros
Flexible work environment. Good people
Cons
very tight with money and hiring. career growth is stagnant
Pros
Flexible work arrangement and very nice people.
Cons
No raises, very poor communication for upper management.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to provide clear direction on where this company is going. It would be great to have more communication.
Pros
It's a job
Paychecks come on time
Cons
Management is uncommunicative and unsupportive
Products are second rate
Advice to Senior Management
Break yo self
Pros
formerly had good marketshare in the area of performance monitoring
Cons
poorly run at the executive level
Advice to Senior Management
Made all the right security acquisitions, but was not committed to becoming a security company.
Pros
This was a great place to work. Awesome work environment, it was made to look like the old house. Free beer in the "park" at least once a month. Awesome parties, excellent culture.
Cons
Not enought salary, upward mobility was limited. But all cons were totally wiped out by all the plusses of the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Just keep doing what you are doing. Don't let the acquisition take it out of you. If they do find new company to start.
Pros
There is a great atmosphere within the Company that makes it compelling to perform at a high level at all times. Interpersonal relations are excellent and there is a great deal of freedom given to each employee to make their own decisions
Cons
At times, there is a lacking of informations as to where the Company is going.
Advice to Senior Management
Invest heavily in Product Development to resume and secure the leader position it had before.
Pros
Great work environment. Friendly, professional people. Great work/life balance.
Cons
Benefits sagged over the last few years. Upper management cares more about the bottom line than their employees. Offshoring is more than just a trend with them - it's a mainstay. Beware.
Advice to Senior Management
Offshoring isn't always the best solution.
Pros
Work culture is laid back and easy going. It's easy to find "genuine good people" here that are very successful Most people maintain a decent work / life balance. Managers are intelligent and lobby hard for their employees.
Cons
Company morale is at a low with constant talks of the next layoff. Internal processes are tedious and time consuming. The company has different silos with each interested in protecting only their best interest and not what's best for the company. Little communication on performance and how employees are faring.
Advice to Senior Management
With the economy down turn, Senior Management does not seem to have a new direction set in place on how to ride through the tough times except to do business as usual. There are no new strategies to alleviate customer budget cuts and low sales. Fix the broken products.
