I worked at Network Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits when you can use them

    Cons

Usage of benefits and facilities extremely limited by break time and meal time structures. Leaves things as more of a tease to look at then actually be able to use. High pay is offset by extremely high stress environment even when working from home.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Telecommuting is great but a more reliable voip solution would help.

I worked at Network Solutions full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nice place to work, good benefits with plenty of PTO, table tennis, 25 cent sodas. Ability to work from home was nice, all the training staff are very enjoyable to work with.

    Cons

If you are an IT guy, this is disguised as a tech support job some sales, but it's all about the sales. During my short time there numerous outages to hosting products, which led to several days of endless calls waiting and people cursing you out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management did well, my supervisor was a very nice guy. Maybe let people know up front how sales driven the position really is.

I have been working at Network Solutions full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Overall, there is a very good team effort in most every project.

    Cons

There was a some management turnover since the WEB.com acquisition. Although these things happen, management could be more open minded and listen to employee feedback for opportunities to improve morale and overall operations.

I worked at Network Solutions full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The most personal company I have every worked for in all my years. The company invested in there people and beyond

    Cons

The company failed to move with the changes in the market and by not correcting some major support issue and cost affective measures other competitive company where able to rise to the occasion and become a force in the market taking the registrar business to the next level . Vision and mission statements where off track

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

talent and skills are valuable asset to a company but will is a just a powerful to a person who is truly vested and on board. Share the vision and mission for all not some.

I worked at Network Solutions full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are a few cool things the company has to offer, as others have stated. There are the standard company perks, discounts programs, PTO, Holidays etc etc...The VAST majority of these programs have been decimated since WEB>COM took over. You will be trained and then set loose to 'help' customers. Depending on the department your pay may be different, but in Hosting Tech Support it is currently $14.75/hr + bonuses. Now that was the rate of pay for the last 3 years as well...don't expect a change anytime soon. The bonus is pretty good (I made approx 20k last year) but it comes with issues as well. You get something returned..its called churh..it comes off your sales. They fudge the numbers often (mistakes do happen).

    Cons

You will have to be AGGRESSIVE is pitching sales...solving problems is but one part of the job..your actual salarey is dependent on SALES...If you are not a top producer and ask too many questions you will get 'education opportunities'. Management doesn't really care what you think. They prefer soldiers , not free thinkers. If your good at doing what your told for a few years it is a good line on the resume. After that...run away...

If you are a new Web.com employee from the Network Solutions merger then it's time to get your resume in order. Web.com does not want your experience or your help. Your company was purchased for it's customer base. You'll enjoy about a six month romance period, and then your company will be slowly destroyed. Ask anyone at Network Solutions, Register.com or the original Web.com in Atlanta (before they were bought by the current company, previously Website Pros). There are no COL raises and the process to get a raise has been under development for the past 1.5 years! Its all smoke and mirrors.

Management gives no indication if there is a problem affecting customers, only gives scripting. If you deviate from the company answer you will get your hand slapped. Huge turn around, employees do no stick around. They are constantly hiring for a reason.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ahh, where to begin. First and foremost understand that to keep people you must treat them like you care about their development. Offer the opportunity to advance, outline how to get a raise.

I worked at Network Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Walking out the door on my last day was the best thing that I can think of.

    Cons

12 hour shifts for NOC personnel (guess that could be a pro too though). No training program.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the vice president in charge of the NOC (if you haven't already).
