    Pros

The owners do care about their employees
    Dedicated, hard working managers
    Great team effort

    Cons

Parking but they do shuttle you in

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing and f you read some of te reviews look at the source. Upset people who obviously were let go for valid reasons. Folks it's just loans and not rocket science. Either you work or ride coat tails and if you are along for the ride sooner or later your true worth or colors show.

    Pros

great product mix, can work from home, great bonuses.

    Cons

poor training; new employees at branches are isolated and left to figure out processes. will eliminate branch or branch positions at the drop of a time in an extremely cold (by conference call with NO empathy) manner with no warning. One day you're working overtime the next your department is gone. Poor system and chaotic manner of clearing files or docs and fundings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

wont bother; they wouldn't listen or care anyway.

    Pros

    - Company takes care of its people. Plans cool events with free food.
    - Getting days off are easy. As long as not too many people are off those same days.
    - Friendly people, laid back culture.
    - Pretty lenient on start times.

    Cons

    - Rolls out new ideas/programs with little to no training or coordination.
    - Favoritism is definitely a big part of the company. Have a relative that works here and you'll move up fast. If you do a sloppy job instead of confronting you they'll pass the work to someone else.
    - WOW health benefits are really expensive.

I have been working at New American Funding full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

New American Funding is my first job out of college and I don't think I could have asked for a better company to begin my career at. From starting out in an entry-level position as a Customer Service Representative, management at New American Funding actually took the time to ask me what I studied in college and to find the perfect position for me when I was ready to move out of the CSR program. Not a lot of companies move their employees up as quickly as New American Funding, but it's great that they are able to recognize talent and utilize the strengths of their employees in order to move the company forward. Rick and Patty are both wonderful people who truly do have their employees best interests in mind. They are the reason why New American Funding is one of the most successful mortgage companies in Southern California.

    Cons

I don't really think I would change anything.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work! :)

I have been working at New American Funding full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

One of the things I really love about working at New American Funding is that management really cares about their employees and their successes within the company. There is always an opportunity to learn more and utilize my talents. Over the years, after graduating college, I have been searching for a job that I am excited about and I have found that opportunity here. There is a real sense of support and teamwork, and that feeling makes coming to work enjoyable.

    Cons

I can't think of any negative things to say about working at New American Funding

I worked at New American Funding full-time

    Pros

-There are talented and nice people here, although sadly underpaid
-The lobby and breakrooms are nice
-The young, underpaid overworked employees attempt to make things fun around there

    Cons

-Managers are not equipped or trained how to manage people
-Nepotism/favoritism is granted to relatives and good friends working here
-No managers have the courage to tell owners Rick or Patty their ideas are bad. It's a case of the "Emperor's New Clothes"
-Rick Arvielo will burn his IT team out, with ridiculous projects, derailing them from other essential outstanding requests
-The CRM Bankerview is a complete joke, a ridiculous, non-user friendly beast, yet you will be forced to use it
-No care is taken to mentor employees or help them when they are buried under work
-You WILL be ruthlessly fired if you fail to uphold unrealistic expectations and an ungodly workload
-No explanation will be given. You will not be helped. You will be chewed up, and spit out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to have the courage to make the environment better for employees. Management classes and a management consultant need to be brought in to witness and fix the abuses happening daily due to nepotism. Consistency needs to be upheld across all teams. Family and butt-kissers need to be transitioned off projects dealing with other people. The Bankerview CRM needs to be eliminated. The IT department needs to be left to do their jobs, not run around on wild goose chases from a bored President/Owner.
