Pros – Great President, empowers employees to make suggestions for changes to improve quality and safety, and reduce expenses. Truly comes from the top down.
Cons – Employees still living in past from before Steward acquisition. Some need to embrace changes and move on.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – Smaller hospital compared to big city, get full one on one experience and advice/assistance from all staff
Cons – It's obvious that certain department employees to do not want to be there, miserable experience
Advice to Senior Management – N/a
Pros – Good benefits and close camaraderie between staff were great perks. Having an employee of the month and year was a great morale booster.
Cons – The tendency of staff to stay for years and years led to some superior supervisors, but also some that were no longer effective.
Pros – Complexity of patient population is compelling to clinical staff, medical staff
Cons – Sinai used to have a family feel...cohesive, team-oriented towards the same goal. Since the Steward acquisition, there is more "big business" mentality; Leadership needs to be more defined and communicate more with middle management. Employee of the month has been going on for 4 years- it's getting old and now it's like, if you have a pulse, you can get employee of the month.
Advice to Senior Management – Communication, Loyalty.
