I worked at New Jersey Institute of Technology

    Pros

The biggest pro is you get good software development experience as a student if you can find a professor working on a grant. Also, living as a student, it provides a good amount of spending money.

    Cons

There weren't very many cons. You have to make sure you are on the same page as the professor. Obviously, the professor you are working for will greatly impact your experience.
