    Summer EFL Intern

I worked at New Oriental as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The "furnace" city of Wuhan, relaxed job requirements, general freedom of teaching style/content as long as students are satisfied

    Cons

What the company needs is vaguely Western looking people to put in front of groups of 1-30 Chinese students, most of which are exhausted from their 8-10 hour schooldays and in consequence totally unresponsive, in order to milk their parents for tuition money. This is alright for what it is. Just don't expect otherwise and you can have an ok time
