A pizza delivery job at NPC is a fairly good job to have while going to college.

Current Employee - Pizza Delivery Driver in Thornton, CO

I have been working at New Pacific Consulting

    Pros

Managers are supportive of family and school obligations. They honor most time-off requests. The annual World Hunger Relief Program is excellent and I'm pleased that NPC chooses to support Pizza Hut in raising money for this worthy cause.

    Cons

The $2.50 "convenience fee" confuses delivery customers. They think it goes to their delivery driver in lieu of a tip. Receipts should have a clearer message that this is not a tip like Papa John's ads do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please offer more positive feedback to employees who work hard to provide excellent customer service and to support management in meeting goals such as OTD times, labor, etc. There is little affirmation provided whether employees do the "minimum" or really knock themselves out to help. A thank you here and there goes a long way!

Please make it clearer that the "convenience fee" is not a gratuity.

I have been working at New Pacific Consulting as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Collaborative atmosphere, everyone is willing to help, professionalism is key. If industrial research and consulting is your area of interest then you learn a lot from doing primary research, making cold calls and sitting in for the final presentation. It gives great exposure to researching data in China.

    Cons

They employ mostly bilingual people, Mandarin and English are a must.

I have been working at New Pacific Consulting full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Significant experience in detail design and project delivery on both large and small scale projects.
Excellent 3D (Maya, Rhino) and Adobe Creative Suite skills

    Cons

onstruction administrators are the point people throughout the rest of a project, working closely with both clients and the original design and project architects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At larger firms, design and project architects leave the work of entering the design into a computer to draftspersons. In a process called "redlining," experienced architects mark changes or additions to documents on paper; draftspersons translate those changes to electronic documents

I worked at New Pacific Consulting

    Pros

    Seemingly huge responsibility from Day1

    Cons

People too young including senior management (significantly lack experience regarding project & staffing)
Project & industry too focused (a lot of repeated boring due diligence and so-called strategic but just market study projects)
Too much bottom-level job (could be delegated stressful cold call all day long through most of the project)
All in all, stressful work, poor compensation with limited growth prospect

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really listen more to your employees or it will kill your company
