Pros
great place if your self driven. ability to make good money. alot of your own time. i would highly recomme4nd it
Cons
not too many bad things to say. i enjoyed working here . you have to know how to use your time wisely. very cut throat industry
Pros
the company's reputation and capital to weather bad economic times
Cons
no salary and they do not pay when you are part-time no matter what you sell, which they fail to mention. There is a lot of fail to mention stuff to get you in the door. It's all on you to get clients. Everyone is treated like a widget from the kid out of high school to the guy with a masters and 25 years experience in finance. They nickel and dime you to death.
Advice to Senior Management
work a little on getting your people in front of potential clients and it will do a world of good. Sending them into terrible places and asking them to pay for the privilege only breeds resentment.
Pros
-Compensation is fair for the business you bring in.
-Good initial training.
-Strong products allow you to market them with confidence.
Cons
-No base salary, have to pay for phone, internet, desk, etc.
-Not much help in building your market. If you are uncomfortable asking your friends and family to help build your business, you won't succeed.
-Good initial training, but after 3 months the training is incredibly repetitive.
Pros
1. Company culture & work environment
2. Company's integrity
3. Growth Opportunity & Income potential
Cons
Not everyone is capable of doing this type of work, it requires special skills and desire to help others.
Pros
Freedom you are in control of your own destiny. Working within your own schedule, but you must remain disciplined. Remember, the harder you work the more money you will make.
Cons
You have to come into this job with your own book of business, or have a network the will provide business leads.
Advice to Senior Management
Supply some of the newer agents with existing clients. So that they can get experience working with clients and they can have a base salary.
Pros
You make your own schedule, except for mandatory weekly and monthly meetings. Great management team that's willing to help you and your business. The best sales training you'll receive anywhere. Good first year allowance (that's if you're meeting your numbers).
Cons
Reversals in the first year of a policy, constant rejections in the field, variance in monthly income, unpredictable clients. Too many unknowns in the commission only job.
Advice to Senior Management
None. Excellent management team.
Pros
Strong company, good products, flexible schedule
Cons
Commission only - no draw or base salary
Pros
Get as much compensation for what you put in.
Cons
ALL COMMISSION BASED, DON'T BELIEVE SALARY PROMISES
Pros
Management is helpful
Good team-oriented environment
Information sharing
Flexible hours
Learn about insurance industry
Management pushes you to set and achieve sales goals every week
Cons
As an intern, the job can sometimes be redundant and tedious doing administrative work.
Purely commission based job - to start as an agent here, you need to have some cash put aside to cover your starting costs, such as paying for your own business cards, etc.
Advice to Senior Management
Should give agents more training on other investment vehicles; it would be helpful if agents could help clients by recommending other investment vehicles other than life insurance.
Pros
Management takes time to build relationships with you, they motivate you to be successful without micromanaging every moment. Education possibilities are Top Notch and there is no end to the materials you can use Free to educate yourself as an expert in your field. There is access to amazing experts until You become the expert. Your earning potential is Unlimited and alot of groundwork pays dividends for years to come.
Cons
It can be tough to balance work and Life. If you have a family the flexibility is amazing, but you have to have a Plan to ensure you don't work too little OR too much. Starting a business is Alot of work for Minimum pay so unless you have a solid financial foundation to start with it could be rough trying to get started.
Advice to Senior Management
Better agent selection might be a good idea. I have seen some agents come and go that had the ability, but no drive to put the work in that's required. There has to be some self-discipline in their personality. Pay more attention to teaching agents to Build relationships over getting a fast sale. There should more emphasis on Building a solid book of business and creating a long-term client base over getting to management as fast a possible. A Passion for this field would be a BIG plus. Everyone sees the ability to make money and jumps on the bandwagon. However, there needs to be something that motivates you Outside of the dollar reward.
