Despite the public servant salary, this could be the right job with the right supervisor

Auditor (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsGreat people to work with, awesome diversity with some of the best people NY has to offer.

ConsLow salary, your supervisor can make or break you

Advice to Senior ManagementTake it easy, its bad enough that we have to deal with getting paid only a percentage of our net worth.

Very good, great people, great work

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsLegal work that matters
    Smart, dedicated attorneys

ConsOf course people do not get paid what they could get paid at law firms, but the hours are flexible and the work interesting, and, well, almost anything is preferable to a law firm.

    Ok Place

Legal Assistant (Former Employee) White Plains, NY

ProsI enjoyed my time at the Ag office. Very easy going environment with lots to learn. No micro management, staff members are included in events planned.

ConsSome of the staff (Attorneys ) are not very nice. Thankfully i never worked for any of them. Because most of the staff members are older they lack basic technology skills. No growth

    Satisfying experience, opportunity for

Staff Attorney (AAG) (Current Employee) New York, NY

Pros(1) Due to limited resources, you get to really do a lot.. Unlike a large firm where only partners get to do real work, here you can do substantive work early on with little supervision AND get credit for it! (Your name will be on pleadings, letters, etc)
    (2) If you are proactive you can take on your own investigations if you can convince supervisors its worthwhile
    (3) reasonable hours - 50 to 60 hours per week

Cons(1) Little admin support -- had to do most my own copying and stuff even
    (2) Low salary
    (3) Lack of transparency in salaries
    (4) Not so easy to get promoted

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
