    Pros

You see so many diagnoses and have the opportunity to experience various clinicians' styles of running groups. The staff is all very supportive and encouraging.

    Cons

The management of the hospital is very very unreasonable. They laid off clinicians, telling them to pack up their office in one day, without any regard to the clients and the ethics of termination.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees and don't lay off people with no warning just so you can get promotions.

I have been working at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

When I was a nursing student, I applied what I learned in school to real life patient cases and experiences and it helped me understand clearly.

    Cons

no promotions, short staffing which is dangerous in a city busy hospital.

    Advice to Management

work more as a team .

    Pros

In the right department, you can actually do some good by helping people.

    Cons

Residents are given free reign are act as such with support staff, even when what they are doing is illegal, unethical or just plain wrong. Roughly 65% of the people that deal with the public have no people skills or customer service skills. At all,

    Advice to Management

Try to get back to treating people and not Medical Record numbers. Promote Clinical Diagnosing over over radiating/ testing patients and doing more harm than good.

    Pros

Great location, free employee parking, great employee lunch room.

    Cons

Management does not have a clue on how to run departments. Very bad dispositions. Treat staff like crap. You have to be a friend or family member of administration or you will have a very hard time.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect. Allow them to voice there opinions without feeling like they will be fired. Build employee morale, when you have happy employees your company will thrive.
