    Pros

Overtime, that's it, nothing more came out of that office.

    Cons

Will not order supplies needed. Will not work on IT issues. Toxic, chaotic environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

think about those who actually work for the brokers as opposed to coming in to just speak to the brokers. I understand they are the force of your revenue, but care a little about those who work their bottoms off to assist them.

    Pros

Growing company for real estate brokerage, pays fairly well.

    Cons

Since company went public most employees are treated like a number instead of a person, very cold atmosphere to work in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn that the employees are your greatest asset and reward them when profits are high, don't publish how well you did when others in the company are struggling if you don't share the wealth.

    Pros

They don't make it a habit of firing people. The branch offices try their best to take care of the employees but it is all up to the HQ office in NY. If you work in NY, they have company parties and short summer hours but that doesn't expand to the branch offices.

    Cons

Promises that aren't kept and don't see the value in their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think one of the most important things about the company is it's employees. Who do you think keeps the brokers organized and produce materials in order to keep their clients happy? That would be the employees who support them.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Washington, DC

    Pros

You can meet some very nice people who, unfortunately hold your same opinion.

    Cons

Worked for a Principal of the company in the DC office who was divisive, corrupt and took well deserved money on deals from brokers. Overall secrecy in the office, zero communication and overall toxic environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Check your ego at the door when you go to work, remember that without your support staff you would not be able to succeed.
