    Pros

My smaller company got acquired by Newmarket. Newmarket was great at onboarding us and making us feel a part of the team.

    Cons

The executive I worked for was very unprofessional when I gave my proper notice that I was leaving. I don't believe this is a reflection on the company.

    Pros

A lot of really bright and positive people are working here. Good product that is used by many different hotels

    Cons

Not a lot of growth potential. Lack of experience in certain fields of development.

    Advice to Management

Talent that goes out the door to another company doesn't make sense. Invest in training existing employees to do bigger roles instead. This will build confidence, growth from within and a stronger development team all around

    Pros

Newmarket is an absolutely amazing company to work for. They have a great team of people who are both smart and passionate about hospitality technology. The is a huge amount of support from co-workers all the way up to the executive team. And there is lots of room to grow professionally as Newmarket has grown and now being an Amadeus company.

    Cons

I tried my best, but I just can't come up with any cons about working for Newmarket.

    Pros

For those living in south Miami north 152 st it is good driving to the place, no traffic jams Corporate level onsite management do their best to keep a family feeling atmosphere

    Cons

Software development direction is very immature and overzealous and frustrates new initiatives Not a good place if you are looking for professional growth on the long term

    Advice to Management

focus more on your business core which is software instead of just sales

    Pros

Management makes everything as comfortable as can be. I felt almost at home around such nice people. Everyone looks out for each other and there are constant events that always keeps things fun.

    Cons

The work can be a bit overwhelming, and I think this applies to every department. Management can sometimes be overly ambitious in their goals.

    Advice to Management

It should be made clearer to all employees that everyone's opinions and constructive criticisms are being heard.

    Pros

Work-Personal life balance is great. Good people/coworkers

    Cons

No career growth options. Benefits not on par with other companies in the area. Lack of communication within team and cross team. Process heavy leading to low productivity. Ineffective leadership and micromanagement.

    Advice to Management

Open up exciting and real career growth options and not 'old wine in new bottle' type of opportunities. Find a way to evaluate skills and reward employees accordingly.

    Pros

Newmarket is an excellent employer to work for. The balance between work and family time is excellent and the company half day Fridays in summer are a great benefit!

    Cons

Newmarket is such a stable employer, there is hardly any turnover in employment. This is both a pro and a con- a pro for longevity and a con for advancement.

  10. Newmarket has been a good place to work

    Pros

Solid leaders with strong vision for their business, an excellent team of professionals in key roles, committed to building a people-centric culture and rewarding achievement.

    Cons

Can be process heavy and slower to market on new innovations, lacking a commitment to the user experience in their products. They are excellent at making things work as intended, but not a lot of resources spent in creating a solid user experience. Company relies on a strong sales force with little focus on marketing.

    Advice to Management

Spend more cycles on design and user experience. While NI products are world-class, software users make judgments on usability and overall design. They want to love your product and feel like it's the leading edge. A competitor with a streamlined, well-designed product could make in-roads.
