I worked at Newspaper National Network

    Pros

Many would say the work-life balance is a pro, but they don't put enough emphasis on the work, part of the reason they've had so many layoffs over the past couple of years.
Some really good employees, but they don't get the chance to shine.

    Cons

All employees act as if they're freelance workers, looking out only for themselves.
A lot of good people in sales support roles have been laid off over the past couple of years while the existing, failing salespeople and sales management have kept their jobs, leading to continued failure. Even the good employees have turned sour, after years of low morale from the very top.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fall on your sword. You've disgraced yourselves, the company, and the overall industry.

I worked at Newspaper National Network full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Salary is competitive in the market

    Cons

Company has lack of vision, poor marketing support. Doesn't respect employees with experience and talent. You are on your own no sense of being part of team. Seems to bring in senior sales and management that have a track record of failure

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Support employees who have experience and vision.

I worked at Newspaper National Network full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There is a good work/life balance

    Cons

Lack of focus and will eventually collapse as a casualty of the decline in print advertising

    No upward mobility within company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide incentives for hard work in non-sales positions. A productive employee is rewarded with only more work and nothing more.
