    Pros

Not many unfortunately, which is too bad. There are some good people, but the company is run by a crazed dictator.

    Cons

Poor leadership. Way to top heavy as a company. Poor focus and support for front line employees. Crazy Owner/President

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give you employees the power to get things done. Stop stalling every little thing into a whole series of senior team meeting. The customers suffer greatly.

I worked at NexJ Systems full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-> Overall its a pretty stable place
-> A LOT of highly Intelligent people who are willing to share the knowledge and lend a hand when needed.
-> location wise is pretty convienant, right over yorkmills subway station with go bus access. litterally just take the elevator down to get on either subway or bus.
    -> Pay is good..
-> There is recognition of work completed and it is rewarded.
-> wide verity of work but i guess that would depend on the department you are in.
-> Regular updates from the CEO so you are generally well informed as to whats coming up/how things are going.
-> All of my direct managers have all been pretty enjoyable people to work with - no complaints there. While the company was going though a re-adjustment phase i was moved around a bit but.. that’s not totally abnormal from my own experiences.

    Cons

-> Some of the tools used by NexJ are internally developed which means a bit of an additional learning curve and anything you master with those tools may not be directly transferable skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on doing what you are doing..

    Pros

Nice intro to a large company for a first internship. Lots of other interns and teams seem to work well with each other.

    Cons

Didn't really get a lot of diverse experience. Job responsibilities given were very not very challenging and minimal even after asking for more.

    Pros

Really smart people. They have talented young people that really try to understand the business in order to make the right product.

    Cons

Business/Sr. Management do not have a focus. Everything seems all over the place. Try to build everything and see if it sticks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at NexJ Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was average, as were the benefits. You do get to learn a good deal about other industries. Employees include some very highly regarded technical people.

    Cons

All divisions of the company are not integrated--you often feel like you are working with a completely different company when you are really under the same umbrella. If you are not an Application Developer or Product Owner, they company views you differently, both in compensation and respect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I always learned that part of management was to not only run an operation but also develop employees. If you do not invest time or energy into developing your employees, you certainly will not receive a return on an investment in the future. Employee career development is almost non-existent.
