I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good benefits, variety of tasks.

    Cons

Turn-over and wind site manager positions are filled with people with limited to no experience and expected to understand the goals of the corporation. At the wind site level the office person is expected to do the accounting functions for two wind farms. It is a challenge to complete tasks with limited resources.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A wind site manager needs to have wind energy experience and management experience. They also need to have some accounting background.

I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Salary, cafeteria food, onsite gym

    Cons

They work you to the bone, weekends, holidays, 24/7. I'm salary in a technical professional position. Absolutely no worklife balance. no oppertunity to advance. Everyone is so mirasable and depressed. unfriendly, people just want to go home. Never a thank you or recognition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please listen to your employees. Pay doesnt matter if they are mirasable.

I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of really smart people work here. Nice to work for a "green" company that generates and sells renewable energy.

    Cons

Executives out of touch with reality. They have no idea how long and hard we work to answer all of their short deadline conflicting requests for more and more data and analysis while still trying to do our "day jobs".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Minimizing headcount is not the best way to save money for the shareholders. Don't maximize the bottom line at the expense of overworking your understaffed people. Of all the recognition you trumpet for the company, consider pursuing the "top 100 places to work" list and what it would take to get there.

I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

At Nextera Energy all of the personnel have taken good care of the interns. Treated with respect and given real work to do. Also offered a variety of jobs to work in so that experience is diverse.

    Cons

Nuclear power is not new. It is not cutting edge technology if that is what you are looking for. No benefits are paid for a summer engineering intern.

I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc.

    Pros

Good pay and benefits for the treasure coast if you are seeking to work for someone.

    Cons

Treated like a non-human resource. Long hours expected without any thank you's. Performance reviews "normalize" most to 3, which the company refers to as "highly valued" which is just a lot of "management psychobabble." Real bonuses and perks are at 4 and up - gotta have friend to get those ratings. Highly politicial environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the constant repurposing and repositioning of business decisions - employees working for you are intelligent and see right through that.

I have been working at NextEra Energy, Inc. as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Compensation is good, room for growth, responsibility, office culture is good I've only encountered nice individuals. People tend to have a passion for what they're doing and do not just view it as a job.

    Cons

Disconnect with senior management from time to time. Juno tries to use a one size fits all approach and consolidation efforts. I don't have a lot of ill to say.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not try and use one big box approach to all units. Be attentive that different places require different things. Also increase communications company wide instead of just Juno.
