    Pros

Really comfortable work environment, great staff, nice balance of direction and self-motivation, valuable work experience. Best summer ever!

    Cons

Big, conservative company so there is bureaucracy when it comes to getting things done and making changes. Cubicles, so less collaborative than if there were an open floor plan

    Advice to Management

Be more involved and easer to communicate, aware of what is going on within the company, but for the most part was great.

    Pros

Super fun atmosphere and you work with extremely talented and smart people. This is probably the best place ever to intern for!

    Cons

Not too many cons, especially for being an internship. The Viacom building is huge so it is pretty intimidating.

    Advice to Management

    Stay wonderful.

    Pros

The work itself was often fun and exciting; it felt like the production team really wanted to create new, innovative characters and stories. These producers were friendly and helpful. Compensation very competitive.

    Cons

Management making unreasonable changes to work submitted; "thinking outside of the box" was encouraged during creative process, but edits/changes ordered resulted in the final product feeling bland and unoriginal. Company's upper management seemingly hesitant to take chances with new characters/stories.

    Advice to Management

Walk the walk, don't just talk the talk -- senior management needs to increase levels of ambition when developing new properties. They purport to want to do this, yet balk when it comes to taking genuine creative chances. Cartoon Network and its openness to fresh, original stories/characters is showing the company how it SHOULD be done.

    Pros

values hard work, dedication, excitement for your tasks and good communication. Fun environment with constant events and networking. Lots of master classes offered to employees and great training.

    Cons

Lack of growth opportunities, promotions. At times there can be a lot of micromanagement. At times division of higher and lower levels of the company.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

As an editorial intern for Nick digital, I had my hands all over the site and social media sites. I loved the people I was working with, the office, the lodge, and the sense of community despite being a mass media company. So glad I spent my summer here.

    Cons

There weren't enough desks for interns so I was placed on a different floor from my team, though I know some interns had delayed start dates because they couldn't place them anywhere!
