    Pros

Training is consistent and employees are given opportunity to initiate ideas to tackle field challenges on their own

    Cons

The little challenge employees have here is work life balance. You can be called any day or time to help tackle an issue

    Advice to Management

Training of employees in any organization is key to the growth of that organization. Nigerian Breweries is the biggest breweries in West Africa today because of their intensive training program for all their employees.

    Pros

Good salaries (especially for full-time staff/ management) Large company, so excellent career progression prospects Ambitious company, with equally ambitious targets Excellent local and international trainings

    Cons

Often long work hours (could affect your oudide-of-work life) targets sometimes too over-ambitious Lots of "office poliics" (*If you know what I mean*)

    Advice to Management

Consider reviewing intern salaries upwards. Otherwise, I think you guys are doing a great job and would like to commend you on that.

Boundless pressures with "unhealthy" internal competition and poor work life balance.

    Pros

Advancement in career through training and retraining

Pursuit of seemingly unachievable target and no work life balance.

    Advice to Management

More hands needed and realizable target setting.

    Pros

Working at Nigerian Breweries could be tasking but fun. You always have to be involved, ask questions, learn, put knowledge to test. I hardly had room to sit for a second without looking sloppy. There is always something to be involved with. The people there are great and the best part has to be the free food and free access to the company bars, where you get to network with all levels of management in a very relaxed environment.

    Cons

The pay for interns is not worth writing home about. It has to be improved.

    Advice to Management

Upper management has to pay more. Most people work a minimum of 40 hours a week, even interns, and barely earn anything of worth, especially those who are not a part of management.

Poor work-life balance and over-stretching targets.

    Pros

It gives a staff the opportunity to continuously develop your skills and improve your industrial knowledge and global best practices.

    Cons

Too much work dominated life style that tends to exclude outside company interactions. A staff has to make conscious efforts to keep friends outside the company otherwise it will be really difficult when you leave the job eventually.

    Advice to Management

It will be better if some room is created to encourage creativity within the "controlled' environment.
