    Pros

Good Perks- food, gym memberships, babysitting

    Cons

Bad politics, a lot of favoritism, fair share of work/play atmosphere

    Advice to Management

Try not to apply too much. You cant get work done and cover reception for a Global Firm.

    Pros

Great pay and benefits, does not seem like a "typical" cut-throat law firm. Most people are very friendly and easy to get along with. It is fast-paced, but not TOO fast . . .

    Cons

Getting a bit more of a corporate feel, but that is to be expected given its size and the state of the economy.

    Advice to Management

It's important to cut costs, but keep employee benefits at a level higher than the rest of the market in order to keep the best and brightest!

    Pros

Very high quality work. You usually get more responsibility than peer firms earlier in your career. Decent work / life balance compared to some firms. No tolerance for jerks. Generally, there is a good atmosphere that is collegial. Partnership prospects are pretty good.

    Cons

Work / life balance is better for some than others. Compensation could be better. There is some bitterness among associates regarding compensation, especially mid-level and senior associates. While the experience and mentoring is good, I think it's not enough to keep associates from going to greener pastures because compensation is below market.

    Pros

The people are great to work with. Most of them are polite and respectful, even when under pressure.

    Cons

It's a law firm, so there is not much room for advancement, but they do try to promote from within the company.

    Advice to Management

Communication is key, but keep it succinct and to the point. We need time to do our jobs.

  8. Overall, good firm, but plenty of room for improvement

    Pros

    -People (for the most part)
    -work environment
    -projects and work assignments

    Cons

-could use a little more emphasis and creativity in how you train and retain associates. Make it more of a priority.
    -compensation

Once ranked one of the best places to work, not just as a law firm. Not sure what happened.

    Advice to Management

Focus on leading more and not just following what everyone else in the industry is doing. Spend less time trying to come up with catchy slogans and more time training associates and future partners to be excellent attorneys and future leaders.

    Pros

Great little perks around the office including free food and drinks.

    Cons

Make no mistake, it's big law through and through, so it comes with all of those headaches.

    Pros

Great benefits, salary, opportunity for growth, and theres always food

    Cons

Fine line between attorneys and staff. Little to no communication between them because million dollar Attorneys feel they're "too good"
