A dedicated charter school network experiencing some growing pains.

ProsThis company is full of passionate people, and offers consistent training opportunities including quarterly network wide sessions. There is a chance for real social impact working at this company and therefore the job satisfaction is weighted with something intangible; helping others.

ConsThis company has consistently with work/life balance, despite professing a desire to see employees attain it the obligations and time required make it difficult to raise a family or stay involved in clubs or groups outside of the company. Professional development sessions not always useful and are occassionally just soapboxes for upper management to prostelytize. Because each campus has its own principal and culture internal politics between schools is problematic with some schools bickering about differences in culture or pedagogy.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet go of the traditional school model, take chances with how classrooms look and what learning looks like in the 21st century. Continue to find ways to take stress out of the teachers' jobs.
