    Pros

Great people, great opportunity to grow as a developer and learn from talented people. Great opportunity to work on high quality products that will connect millions of people to the internet, some for the first time. Work-life balance is excellent, opportunity for career growth is encouraged and fostered.

I worked at Nokia full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

truly a global company with a global mindset. Very innovative, long traditions and a very solid marketposition. Very good international place to be if international business interests you

    Cons

like with all large multinational, diverse companies there was, depending on your chain of commands, at times quite a political play in place. This is not descriptive of Nokia, this is what you can expect to find in all conglomerates

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

more focus on talent management instead of performance management. Ennoble the "how" you do the job in front of "what" you did. The former looks forward, the latter rides on your history. In which direction do you think the future is?

I have been working at Nokia full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great bunch of talented but genuinely nice people, mutually supportive and understanding of work life balance. Great technology - until overtaken by slicker rivals.

    Cons

Gradual loss of faith in overall company strategy which stated with complacency in mid 00's and culminated in Nokia losing number 1 position and starting to sink quickly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit and allow in someone who knows what to do.

I have been working at Nokia

    Pros

The company culture is great and allows for good work/family balance. Nokia encourages a healthy lifestyle.

    Cons

There is room for improvement for upper management in terms of accountability and listening to individuals that get the job done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should spend more time with individuals directly involved in projects in order to find root causes and get to a resolution faster.
