I have been working at Nokia Siemens Networks full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Easy job and have the chance to learn.
Cons – Very bad management and bad HR. Fire the entire corrupt and utterly useless HR, and get some talented people on board.
Advice to Senior Management – Change ASAP, otherwise loss more and more customers, next Nortel soon.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Nokia Siemens Networks full-time
Pros – Pay and benefits are good
Cons – It is now all about making money and no longer about having a good work-life-balance. They will bleed you dry and then lay you off. They now have what is called a Needs Improvement competitive mindset, where they make it so that no one shares information or knowledge just to remain employed. No longer work as a team or support each other. More like work till you can't work no more and you have to leave. So much has changed, and not for the better. So many have left on their own to try and find a more caring company.
Advice to Senior Management – Learn to appreciate your employees. Don't make it so they have to compete with each other for their jobs, then you have no collaboration. People are so unmotivated and unhappy.

I have been working at Nokia Siemens Networks full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – good place to learn if you have access to the lab
Cons – bullying around the teams
you feel that most of the people work with fear
people are treated like cattle
workers forced to work extra hours without extra payment
if you want to have a break and eat something you need to go to car park. food machines are far to desincourage people going there.
you can only have pc and mouse on your table, if you have a pen and a paper notebook someone will come to speak with you to hide the notebook.
Advice to Senior Management – change the management please

I have been working at Nokia Siemens Networks full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Good people, decent work/life balance
Cons – Company Policy is to suck up and screw down. Customers and suppliers are courted and helped wherever possible while employees are kept as low as possible, no raises, not even to cover inflation, a bonus policy that hardly ever pays what was promised and when separating from employees the full letter of the law is enforced with no consideration to tenure and achievements
Advice to Senior Management – Change!

I have been working at Nokia Siemens Networks
Pros – was once a good place to work, opportunity to travel and install systems for different customers. salary etc were reasonable for the country.
Cons – company now in freefall. all training and travel cut. no more free coffee. even pens and paper cannot be ordered let alone laptops and phones. many products deemed "non core" and those employees outsourced (the ones who are not fired).
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Nokia Siemens Networks full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – It is a big telecommunication company
Good roles in the telecommunication field.
Very good office space in India
Cons – I was given a fresher grade while entering with almost four years of experience.
Nothing was ever done to fix my situation in spite of repeated requests
One of my engineering batch-mates had a role two levels above mine.
Advice to Senior Management – No uniformity among different departments in the way grades and salaries are offered. Just because the feature I was working on was not doing great, it impacted my personal role in the company. A person with 3 years at NSN was given grade 8 in a different department while I joined with a grade6 with 4 years experience! Explain!
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
