    Pros

    -Pay is fair
-People are great to work with
    -Awesome product

    Cons

-Part time is 38 hours a week...so not really part time in my opinion
-Scheduling can seem unfair (working all weekends or nights)

    Advice to Management

Have more communication with employees about the schedule and put it out earlier than a couple weeks before the dates.

    Pros

You build your paycheck. The harder you work the more you earn. Except when customers return everything they've purchased and it comes out of your commission.

    Cons

Takes fffoooorrrreeevvveeerrrrr to get promoted once you go through their future nordstrom leader program. Not okay if you live on your own and pay your own bills. Most people that work there live with their parents.

    Advice to Management

Promote those who are worthy faster. I should not have to be in my role 6 months in order to be considered for a promotion.

    Pros

The pay is pretty good for a cashier.
    Meet many interesting people.
    Hours were good.
You get to learn about shoes especially when it comes to fashion. (I only dress in T's and shorts so that says a lot)

    Cons

You have to stand the entire time.
You have to always be doing something even when theres no customers.
Customers will sometimes look down on you because sales person have more knowledge about shoes than cashiers.
Multitasking is a big plus like answering phone calls and speaking with customers at the same time.
The training isn't very helpful because they cover very vague areas of being a cashier like using a cash register when in reality, you have to learn like 10 different methods to ring someone up for different circumstances.

    Pros

Inside view of the company (more than what a regular sales employee would experience); able to meet and hear from Blake Nordstrom and other company executives; commission-based; awesome training sessions; 20% discount; ability to continue working after summer internship is over

    Cons

Dealing with rude customers; working nights and weekends; beware of fellow co-workers who try to take your sales

    Pros

The store is busy so you can do well in commission but it depends on the department you work in. Work in the departments that offer %10 commission

    Cons

The hours for retail are not good. Weekends, nights and holidays which are not good. Long hours standing. It is a good job for part time but not for full time
